situated at the prime location of Allahabad - Faizabad road near Bhangwa chungi. The college was established by the great freedom fighter and social activist, so-called Mahamana of Pratapgarh, Pt. Munishwar Dutt Upadhyay, about 47 years ago on 13th July, 1960 with the affiliation from Gorakhpur University for B.A. classes. On 20th August 1960, permission was granted by the University for starting B.Ed. classes in the college. BSc(Bio.) classes were started in the college from July 1966. In 1973 Gorakhpur University paved the way for P.G. classes in the shape of M.A. (Hindi) classes. |

Under the dynamic leadership of the Principal, Dr. J. P. Mishra, college levelled new horizons as it got B.Sc. (Maths) B.Com., M.A. (English) and M.A. (Economics). Now the college looks forward for M.A. (Pol.Sc.), M.A. (Sociology), M.Ed. and some professional courses in near future. In addition to it, the college is proud of having IGNOU`s study center (no.2737), Minority students Education centre and a project of Pragmatic Hindi. Besides, there are units of N.S.S., one for Boys and the another for girls. The college has lush green campus. Apart form the main campus, a satellite campus at Jogapur (just one k.m. away from the main campus on Allahabad road) is also there. |
